Terms of Use

1. Parties and Scope

These Terms of Use govern the relationship between Eksen (“Platform”) and natural or legal persons (“User”) who access and use the platform.

By registering to the platform or using the services, you are deemed to have accepted these terms. If you do not accept the terms, do not access the platform.

2. Service Description

Eksen provides AI-powered legal platform services consisting of maritime law tools (charterparty analysis, sea protest drafting, clause drafting, voyage screening, sanctions screening), document anonymization and legal translation.

The platform may only be used for information and draft generation purposes. The platform does not provide legal advisory services and generated content does not constitute professional legal advice.

3. User Obligations

Users are responsible for complying with the following obligations: keeping account credentials confidential and preventing unauthorized access; uploading content to the platform only for legal and legitimate purposes; not uploading personal data of third parties to the platform without the consent of the relevant persons; not misusing the platform, uploading malware, or attempting to block the system; and complying with all applicable laws and regulations.

4. Intellectual Property

The platform interface, design, code, algorithms and anonymous engine technology belong to Eksen and are protected under intellectual property law.

Documents uploaded and texts entered by users belong to the user. The platform does not use this content for model training.

Draft outputs produced by the platform (petitions, contracts, analysis reports, etc.) may be freely used by the user; however, the user is responsible for the accuracy of the content.

5. Limitation of Liability

Eksen does not warrant the legal accuracy, currency or fitness for a particular purpose of content produced by the platform.

Platform outputs are for informational purposes; they should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before being used in legal decisions and actions.

Eksen is not liable for indirect, special or consequential damages arising from documents uploaded to the platform or content generated.

6. Credit System and Payment

The platform operates on a credit-based usage system. Each analysis or draft generation operation consumes a certain number of credits.

Purchased credits are non-refundable. In case of subscription cancellation, remaining credits are not carried over to the next period.

Pricing and plan details are valid according to current information reflected on the platform.

7. Service Interruption and Changes

Eksen may temporarily suspend service due to technical maintenance, updates or unexpected technical issues.

Platform features may be changed, added or removed without prior notice.

8. Account Suspension

In case of violation of these terms of use, misuse or detection of illegal activities, Eksen may suspend or terminate the account without prior notice.

9. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are subject to Turkish law. Istanbul Courts and Enforcement Offices are authorized in disputes.
