These terms describe, in plain language, how the Eksen product is offered and used. They are a summary; the binding contractual terms are provided as part of your engagement with Eksen.
The service
Eksen provides privacy-first AI tools for maritime law — charterparty analysis, sea protest conversion, clause drafting, voyage screening, sanctions screening and terminology-preserving translation. Tools are grounded in English maritime law and BIMCO standards.
Not legal advice
Eksen is a professional assistant, not a substitute for professional legal judgement. Its outputs are aids to be reviewed by a qualified professional. The final decision, and responsibility for it, rests with you.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Eksen for lawful purposes and not to attempt to circumvent its privacy protections, disrupt the service, or use it to process data you are not entitled to process.
Privacy and data
How Eksen handles data — masking before the AI model, zero retention and sovereign infrastructure — is described on the Privacy page. Those protections form part of how the service is provided.
Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, updates and factors outside our control may affect access from time to time.
Intellectual property
The Eksen software, interface and underlying methods remain the property of Eksen. The documents and content you bring remain yours; nothing you upload is used to train a model.
