1. Data Controller

This Privacy Policy applies to the platform at the domain eksen.tech, operated by Eksen. Eksen is the data controller under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK).

2. Personal Data Collected

The following personal data may be processed during platform use.

Identity data: first name, last name, email address.

Professional and corporate data: company / office name; profession-role information (lawyer, legal counsel, intern, corporate user, academic, student, or the free-text role you enter if you select “other”).

Account data: username, encrypted password, membership date.

Usage data: session information, in-platform actions, credit usage history.

Technical data: IP address, browser information, operating system.

3. Anonymization Engine and Document Privacy

Documents uploaded or entered into the platform (contracts, petitions, maritime documents, etc.) are processed by our anonymization engine before being transmitted to the AI system.

The anonymization engine detects and masks personal data such as names, Turkish ID numbers, phone numbers, email addresses, IBANs and similar. The anonymization engine aims to keep raw personal data from reaching the AI. However, since the engine can make mistakes, reviewing the text before sending is recommended — the manual labeling layer exists for exactly this.

Detection and masking are performed by the engine on Eksen's own servers; raw text is not permanently stored or logged during this process. The resulting text aims not to contain original personal data. The final review and decision rest with the user.

4. Purposes of Personal Data Processing

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes: account creation, authentication and session management; provision and improvement of platform services; billing and credit tracking; technical support and customer services; and fulfillment of legal obligations.

5. Legal Basis

Processing of your personal data is carried out under the following legal bases: KVKK Article 5/2(c), being necessary for the conclusion and performance of a contract; KVKK Article 5/2(ç), for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligations; and KVKK Article 5/2(f), legitimate interest, provided it does not harm fundamental rights and freedoms.

6. Data Retention Period

This is a pilot application. Personal data collected during the pilot is kept only for the duration of the pilot; when the pilot ends, all data including accounts and content is deleted and the system is shut down within 30 days at the latest.

If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted or anonymized immediately.

7. Data Sharing

Your personal data is not shared with third parties except for legal obligations and court orders. Sharing with technical service providers used for platform infrastructure is done only within the scope of service delivery and under a confidentiality agreement.

To generate AI outputs, only text that has passed through the anonymization engine (masked text) is transmitted to the third-party AI provider; the architecture is designed so that raw personal data never reaches this provider. Under the provider's API terms, transmitted data is not used for model training.

8. User Rights

Under KVKK Article 11, you have the following rights: to learn whether your personal data is being processed; to request information about processed data; to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; to learn third parties to whom data is transferred domestically or abroad; to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; to request deletion or destruction of your data; and to object to processing and request compensation for damages.

9. Cookies

The platform uses essential cookies for session management and functionality. Analytics cookies are only activated with your explicit consent.

10. Policy Changes

When this policy is updated, changes will be published on this page and email notifications will be sent to users for significant changes.
